Ambit Chemical Technologies is seeking a dedicated Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our dynamic team. The EHS Manager will be instrumental in developing and implementing comprehensive EHS programs and policies that align with our commitment to creating a safe and healthy work environment and minimizing our environmental impact. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations, fostering a culture of safety, and promoting environmental stewardship across all levels of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce EHS policies and programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards including OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Manage hazardous materials and waste, ensuring proper storage, disposal, and emergency response protocols.
  • Design and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees, promoting awareness and competency in safety practices and environmental management.
  • Serve as the liaison with regulatory bodies, managing inspections, permits, and reporting requirements.
  • Track and report on EHS performance metrics, presenting findings to senior management and recommending improvements.
  • Oversee project and construction safety to ensure compliance with established EHS standards.
  • Champion continuous improvement efforts in EHS practices, aiming to exceed industry standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in EHS management within the chemical manufacturing industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EHS regulations and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, results-oriented manner.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse workforce.
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, health, and environmental responsibility.
